AfricaHongKongFrance (AHKF)

AfricaHongKongFrance (AHKF) is a new human rights organization founded by Hong Kong, French and African human rights advocates.
On 11/7/2020, AHKF organized an International Solidarity Rally for Hong Kong’s Anti-Security Law Demonstration in Paris from the Paris Bastille. From the square to Republic Square, demonstrators from Hong Kong, Africa, Tibet, Uyghur, Taiwan and France sang Hong Kong protest songs. In « May Glory Come to Hong Kong », the organizer chanted the Cantonese slogan « Hong Kong People » while holding a banner and flag in support of Hong Kong. Go for it ». Afterwards, he held up a piece of white paper, symbolizing the banning of speech in Hong Kong.

André Gattolin, a member of the French Senate, expressed his opposition to the National Security Law, saying that it violates the Sino-British Joint Declaration. He also said that the French Foreign Minister has promised to take measures on Wednesday to address the issue of Hong Kong’s National Security Law.

The AHKF Hong Kong representative said that the French government, as a country that upholds human rights and freedom, should stand on the side of democracy and oppose the dictatorial anti-national security law.
The representative of AHKF Africa said that because the black people had been colonized by Europe for a long time, they were oppressed by China after they got out of colonialism. Victims of the region resist together.
Participants included Hong Kongers living in France, Africans, Tibetans, Uighurs and French Yellow Vest demonstrators, who also openly expressed their opposition to Hong Kong’s National Security Law and their discontent with China’s totalitarian regime.

Dorian Malovic, Asia Editor of La croix, shared his thoughts on the day on Facebook:

The first march in Paris on Saturday, July 11, 2020, supporting Hong Kong – against China’s The National Security Law .An alliance of Hong Kong, Taiwanese, Mainland Chinese, Tibetans, Uighurs, Vietnamese, Africans, French, and Yellow Vests. Against Chinese hegemony! Never before have so many people supported Hong Kong. The wheels are turning towards China.

Allez-y ».
